Young actress Shaina Magdayao, who recently broke up with her boyfriend, actor John Pratts, has a practical explanation for why she prefers “mature” men to boys.
“At a very young age, I was already given many responsibilities. I don’t have time to share a boy’s fascination with teenage stuff. I’d like to be able to talk to the person I’m with about life, not just about mundane and immature things,” Shaina told Inquirer Entertainment.
In January, Shaina confirmed her breakup with John, but declined to divulge the reason. The actress, however, maintained there was no “third party” involved, despite rumors that John was dating another actress, Denise Laurel.

We asked Shaina why she prefers the New Moon character Edward Cullen  to Jacob Black.
“I want to be able to look up to the person I’m with. With Edward [types], I feel I can discuss so many things. I find Edward very interesting.  I want to be with a partner who is like him.”
